I hate IE. Why? Because I always have to adjust new design for IE6 and IE7. That usually means few hours of extra work. Internet could be such a nice if everybody would use Firefox instead of IE. So I asked sverde1 to introduce his nice anti IE plugin and offered it to everybody.

Around three weeks ago Jan asked me if I can make him a Wordpress plugin that will show GetFirefox banner in IE just like on my homepage. I said why not and started to work on the plugin that was finished in few hours.

So this is the result. I’ve also added few options in admin panel where you can set:

• URL where user will be taken if he clicks on the banner
• URL of the banner itself
• how long the banner will be shown
• position of the banner (currently there are available only 4 positions, I’ll add more if there will be interest)
• margins from the border

Download

Installation:

1. Extract the FFBanner/ folder from ZIP file
2. Upload FFBanner/ folder into your Wordpress plugin folder
3. Open your Wordpress administration, click on Plugins tab and activate the plugin
4. Check FFBaner in IE6 or IE7
5. Enjoy
